Vintage Embalming Draining Tubes

A pair of vintage embalming drainage tubes, including one adult and one pediatric example, used during the embalming process to drain blood and fluids. Inserted into a vein toward the heart, the tube helped maintain the vein’s opening and build circulatory pressure, while the internal plunger could break up large blood clots. A hose attached to the tube allowed for controlled blood drainage.
